Wahoo! I finished my first wearable knitting project (Wheat Scarf by Tin Can Knits) just as the mercury is kissing the zeroes here in not-so-wintry Victoria.

After awkwardly fighting with the needles for months and uttering words that seem at odds with such a grandmotherly craft, something finally “clicked” – just as all you wise knitting folk promised – and it suddenly seemed like I was producing something semi-functional instead of dishcloths so ugly you’d only use them on casseroles encrusted with burnt ground beef or something equally foul.

That said, don’t look TOO close. But I figured I’d give y’all a glimpse in case you, too, are feeling like you’d rather strangle yourself with the yarn than attempt one more tangled row! YOU CAN DO IT!

The yarn is 100% wool from Knotty By Nature. The location is an unkempt backyard in Victoria.
