A Washington State Escape: Lake Quinault Lodge

A Washington State Escape: Lake Quinault Lodge

I was definitely in that crazed “get me outta here!” mindset on that fateful day when I trawled Groupon and bought a two night stay at Lake Quinault Lodge for a song. That kind of desperation can yield iffy results (such as the dreaded “lumpy pillow” syndrome) but […]

My Buddy: A 1950s-Inspired Music Video for Kids!

My Buddy: A 1950s-Inspired Music Video for Kids!

I am always a proud peacock when we release a new video at Pancake Manor. Each song is generally the culmination of several weeks of work, so it’s both a joy and a massive relief to finally upload it.

Our latest video, however, is extra-special for me for the following two reasons:

1. My Buddy is a collaborative effort between myself and two of the great men in my life – my partner Billy and my brother Zachary!

2. It’s an ode to the ’50s – a little homage to the days when Zachary and I poured over our dad’s record collection with awe (side note – it was so much fun studying ’50s album covers for inspiration! I haven’t jumped on the vinyl bandwagon yet but the covers alone may convince me. Oh, and I am lusting after the Crosley Cruiser Portable Turntable you see in one of the scenes! You WILL BE MINE).

Enjoy!
